“Before I joined Barbizon, I had many insecurities about myself and was not as confident as I am now. In my personal opinion, I don’t think I took care of myself as well as I should have. During the course of the classes, I learned skin care, posing, hair care, make-up tips, acting, runway, and much more. All these classes helped with my self esteem and confidence. “As cliché as it is, Barbizon really has changed my life. Just a mere 2 months before I started, my life was 100% different. I was a regular junior in high school; a few really close friends, kind of shy, and I usually spent my time reading books in the back of class. I unfortunately had the reputation of “that quiet girl.” About the time I signed up for Barbizon everything just kind of flipped upside down. I became home schooled, I moved churches, and my social life had taken a huge downward turn. Now, I know that really has nothing to do with Barbizon, but I had a lot of change going on all at the same time and it had begun to wear on my nerves. Going to Barbizon every other week was the one thing that I could count on to get me in a good mood. I could count on leaving with a smile across my face.
