Our History

• Barbizon Georgia opened its doors way back in 1969! Since 1974, the company has been owned and operated by Paul Bartolacci, better known as Mr. “B”! In 1976, the company moved it’s headquarters from Colony Square in Midtown to Tower Place in Buckhead. Barbizon Georgia took much pride in the fact that for the last 10 years or so, they were one of Tower Place’s oldest tenants in the complex! Having outlived their space in Tower Place, in July ’07 Barbizon Georgia moved it’s headquarters to it’s current location, Ivy Place in Buckhead, right on the corner of Piedmont and Lenox Rd. Although their headquarters are located in Buckhead one of the best things about Barbizon is that we have many locations throughout the state, so students can learn right in their home-town!

• Our coaching staff is comprised of community leaders, professional models and actors, and personal development experts. We maintain a curriculum based on global standards, which is regularly updated by Barbizon’s National Education Board of Directors; our students are taught the latest advancements in model training and fashion industry trends.

• To be a model or actor means all eyes are on you! You aren’t just a pretty face; you are a role model for all. Barbizon insists our talent conduct themselves in ways that are good examples for others… always… We teach, encourage, and demonstrate model behaviors. We promote self-confidence and self-esteem and encourage individuality. With confidence and a sincere belief in one’s worth, it is easier to steer from bad situations and into a brighter future.
